Robert K, Butler, M.D. joined the staff of the Aesthetics Center of the Florida Eye Institute in November 2009. He is a full time aesthetics physician who is skilled in the art of non-invasive aesthetic procedures. He has special interests in Cutera Laser and IPL therapy, BOTOX Cosmetic and dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Radiesse.
Dr. Butler was born in Canada where he attended Medical School at The University of Western Ontario. While there he was president of the Hippocratic Council, did extensive research in orthopedics and was a recipient of the Hippocratic Key Award. He completed a residency in Family Medicine in London, Canada where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. After residency, he became a Certificant of the College of Family Physicians. He pursued extra training in the Emergency Medicine and was appointed to the staff at U.W.O. and University Hospital in London, Canada.
After medical school, Dr. Butler became an avid windsurfer, which ultimately led to he and his wife moving to the coast of Florida in 1991. In 1993, he was certified to be a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and in 1998 became a diplomate of the AAPS Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Butler has been a member of the Vero Beach community since 1993, and while on staff in the Department of Emergency Medicine at IRMC, he was appointed to the Florida State University College of Medicine as a member of the Clerkship Faculty.
Dr. Butler has had an interest in aesthetics for a number of years and has undergone extensive training in this exciting and gratifying field. He utilizes a state of the art Cutera Laser System to perform the most advanced cosmetic laser solutions. He also integrates into his practice the latest advances in IPL therapy, BOTOX and dermal fillers. Dr. Robert Butler is a caring and skilled physician who truly enjoys helping his patients look and feel their best. He and his wife, Carole, have one daughter and reside in Vero Beach.
