Thomas A. Baudo, M.D. joined the staff of the Florida Eye Institute in July of 2001. Dr. Baudo is a board certified ophthalmologist who completed a two year fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous.
He completed his undergraduate studies in biology at Tufts University and went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Baudo then completed his internship at Chestnut Hill Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital. His interest in vitreoretinal surgery led Dr. Baudo to pursue fellowship training in this area at the Glaser-Murphy Retina Treatment Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
His work in such fields as macular degeneration and vitreoretinal surgery has been published in numerous scientific journals. As a clinical investigator, he has been involved in pharmaceutical trials for the treatment of age related macular degeneration.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Baudo and his wife Nicole reside in Vero Beach. They enjoy golfing and tennis.
