Dr. Zudans is the President of Vero Beach's Florida Eye Institute Surgicenter, LLC and Treasurer of Florida Eye Institute, PA.  He joined the staff in July 2002, after completion of his ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He performs the most advanced no-needle, no-stitch sedation, outpatient cataract surgery. For those who want to reduce or eliminate the need for their glasses he provides iLASIK, AST, Technis MF, Crystalens, ReSTOR, Toric IOLs, LRI, and other refractive procedures. He also cares for patients with glaucoma and other general ophthalmologic conditions.

While earning a bachelors of science degree with honors from the University of Florida, Dr. Zudans was an Anderson scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.

Dr. Zudans was selected for an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute from 1999-2002. He dedicated much of his time there to developing his skills and knowledge regarding advanced cataract and refractive surgery. His research projects included investigations involving LASEK and evaluation of the ORBSCAN corneal topography device that is used to assess refractive surgery candidates. He is a member of several organizations including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and Indian River County Medical Society.  Dr. Zudans is actively involved in ophthalmology research and is a principle investigator in two ongoing clinical trials for cataract lens implants.

Dr. Zudans is a caring doctor who practices ophthalmology with the highest professional standards. He and his wife Tracey have four children and reside in Vero Beach.
